Injection moulding plant

?

Injection moulding is primarily used to manufacture thermoplastic products (polymers). The input material for production is a polymer in granulated form. The original or recycled granulates, mainly from milling of production waste, are used. The granulates can be coloured in any way. We work with leading granulate suppliers, ready to supply any material known today. The most common materials used include PE, PP, PS, SB, SAN, ABS, PA, TPE, TPU. The manufacturing process consists in plasticising the material, injecting it into a mould, usually equipped with a cooling system, in which the material cools and solidifies. After opening the mould, the finished product is removed. Strumet’s plastic injection moulding department is equipped with three Tederic injection moulding machines. These are modern and highly efficient machines with clamping forces of 130, 350 and 700 tons. The maximum injection weight of the largest machine exceeds 3400 g. The injection moulding machines are supervised by experienced operators and engineers who support them in the optimisation of machine parameters.

Injection moulding plant – why use it?

Injection moulding is the most popular technology for forming plastic parts. It is indispensable for high volume and mass production. High productivity combined with a small amount of reusable waste make the process efficient. The low cost of producing a single part is unattainable with any other method. Injection moulding delivers finished parts and products with high quality and repeatability, so no post processing is required. Injection moulding is also extremely environmentally friendly, as no harmful substances are emitted during the moulding process. Plasticisation of the material is done by heating the granules with electric heaters, which are partially powered by our own photovoltaic system.
